Heather Rumble Peterson was called to the bar in Ontario in 1985. She practices exclusively in the field of civil litigation with her main focus on class action litigation. She has extensive experience in the areas of negligence, personal injury and catastrophic loss, medical malpractice, product liability, insurance law, commercial disputes and class actions.

Ms. Peterson has successfully pursued class action litigation against the Federal, Provincial and Territorial governments and many Canadian and multi-national corporations in the areas of product liability, negligence, securities, price-fixing and medical malpractice. She is currently involved in the prosecution of a foreign exchange class action against National Money Mart and numerous price-fixing class actions against national and multi-national corporations.

Ms. Peterson has directed the set-up of a number of administrations to distribute class action settlement proceeds, including the administration of the 1986 - 1990 Hepatitis C Class Action Settlement Fund, the Walkerton Compensation Plan and Vitamins price-fixing. She continues to be involved in overseeing the 1986 - 1990 Hepatitis C settlement distribution. Ms. Peterson has recently been appointed by the Ontario Court to administer settlement proceeds in a medical malpractice class action and in an environmental class action.
