Harvey T. Strosberg is a senior partner at Sutts, Strosberg LLP. He practices almost exclusively in the areas of class action and commercial litigation. Mr. Strosberg has vast trial and appellate experience in the areas of class actions, negligence, personal injury, commercial law, product liability and insurance law. He has appeared as counsel in more than 30 class action certification motions.
Currently, he is a member of the counsel team prosecuting, among others, the following class actions:
- Foreign exchange charges on securities transactions against National Bank, Nesbitt Burns, RBC Direct, Royal Bank
- Mass torts – Sunrise Propane and 2 Secord Avenue explosions
- Medical devices and drugs – Guidant, Paxil, Vioxx
- Product liability/negligence - Kitec, Retrofoam, SureStep
- Price Fixing - Chocolates, Hydrogen Peroxide
- Securities - Bre-X, NovaGold
- Other - Manulife
Mr. Strosberg was lead counsel for the City of Windsor when, after trial, it obtained ownership of the Canadian portion of the Windsor Detroit Tunnel which is valued at over $200 million.
